Privacy Policy — Strength & Faith

Strength & Faith is built privacy‑first. Your workouts, reflections, and health data live on your device by default — we don't sell your data, run ads, or track you across the internet.

What this covers

The information in the app

When you use Strength & Faith you can enter and log:

Your profile — name, age, sex, height, weight, goal weight, activity level, goals, and preferences. These power your personalized calorie targets and recommendations.
Your activity — workouts, meals, water, journal reflections, moods, streaks, and progress photos you choose to add.

All of this is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere unless you explicitly turn on optional cloud backup (below).

Apple Health

Health & Apple Watch data (HealthKit)

If you grant permission, Strength & Faith reads data from Apple Health — such as heart rate, active calories, steps, distance, sleep, and workouts recorded by your iPhone or Apple Watch — to display your activity, and it can write the workouts you log back to Apple Health.

We take health data seriously and commit that:

Health data obtained through HealthKit is used only to provide features inside the app.
It is never used for advertising, marketing, or data‑mining, and is never sold or shared with third parties.
It stays on your device and is not sent to any server unless you enable cloud backup.
You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Optional

Cloud backup & sign‑in

The app works fully without an account. If you choose to sign in (with Apple, Google, or email) to back up and sync across devices, a copy of your app data is stored securely with our infrastructure provider and transmitted over encrypted connections. You control this data: you can back it up, restore it, or delete it at any time by signing out and resetting the app.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your personal information.
We don't show advertising or use advertising trackers.
We don't use third‑party analytics that profile you.

Deleting your data

On your device: open Settings → Reset all data in the app to permanently erase everything stored locally. In the cloud (if enabled): this also removes your synced backup. To delete your account entirely, contact us at the email below.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers strictly to run the app: Apple (HealthKit, Sign in with Apple, and app distribution), Google (Sign in with Google, if you use it), Supabase (secure cloud backup, if you enable it), and Expo (app builds and updates). Each processes only what's needed to provide their function.

Children

Strength & Faith is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
